Floating minds

The things and persons randomly float in a medium with no gravitational force. We should assume that the gravitation gives a direction to things and persons by simply ascribing to them places in the physical world.

For human beings, to be somewhere would mean to have a meaning of your existence in that place, where the meaning is identical with the direction which belongs to other things and animals.

Otherwise, the human mind floats randomly .

Many places cannot be classified as answers to the question ‘where are you?’ If we answer ‘at home’, but our dwelling place is lacked by any marks of civilization and we do not feel it as a benchmark of our existence, then it is not a proper answer, by only a way to say that we are not in any real place.

Second, ‘to be’ from the expression ‘to be somewhere’ is a vague formula, when it is not backed by many possible sentences using the verb ‘to have’. For instance, someone who has no food cannot be really an inhabitant of some definite place. She or he is mainly in the search for food, i.e. nowhere.

And the last aspect brings the idea that to be somewhere means also to have the idea that you will be there for a long time. It is an idea of our minds, not a property of the things from a particular place. The idea can be acquired through a certain amount of love for the things you have in a definite place, by which you oppose to their possible disappearance.

Briefly, a human mind floats when its owner lives in a disordered place, has a few goods, and does not love what he has.

Its floating is not soft or easy. Because the gravitation inserted in his mind through unavoidable desires for a proper place of dwelling, for material goods, and through different forms of loving things and persons puts the entire flying man down. Only a few can still claim that their minds float above, if they are put down in this way. Self-humiliation is the most popular reaction and it is a way of recognizing that the places of the world are greater than us.
